for combating ASF in the U.S. Moving hogs across state lines will be prohibited. Hogs will be backed up big time in states without packing plants. Exports would most likely drop sharply and domestic consumers may shy away from pork. In short, it would be a huge disrupter for the industry. Let's hope the preventive measures will keep the disease out.
