You make some good points about paper farming.
It sounds like a much easier and cleaner way of raising hogs
then when I did it.

I'm older now and I would not want to go back to those days in my memory -

altho - it did feel good to see the loaded truck go down the lane as that load went to market.

It felt even better a the next day when we drove to the City stock yards - picked up the check -
then ate out (McDonalds of course) and then wife got to go shopping for something new.

The Banker was always happy to see Us come in with another hog check to cash -
altho there wasn't much left after He took what He wanted out of it.

I've never forgot "the joys and discomforts of farm life"
that we learned in the FFA creed.

I prefer to focus on the good memories these days.
