Cash is being called steady which is stronger than outright lower expectations from late last week. IMO some packers will have to bid higher money as roads become difficult to navigate this week. Snow, ice, wind and bitter wind chills should at least stabilize and possibly trigger some higher cash trade by the end of this week.

We noted this last week; the worm appears to be turning as the retail pork cuts are starting to firm up in price whereas the processing cuts, hams and bellies, remain barely steady to lower. I consider this a positive development in that low prices cure low prices and loins and butts grabbing hold is evidence of such.

I received above from my Broker this morning, he is more positive than me but I am still Long & Wrong!!
