Those numbers look pretty bearish to me but then the demand season will soon be here------so how much of a bearish reaction will the market respond with? Now I'm worried my new cattle/hog spread boat might spring a leak very quickly. With all of the pork and chicken meat to peddle at discount prices------could dig into demand for higher priced beef.
I'm a hard wired tight wade, so I will eat a butterfly chop over a high priced steak any day of the week and not feel like I've missed out on anything. Even finding a quality steak worth paying the price difference can be a challenge. The beef industry has a problem competing with the product consistency of the pork industry.
