Re: The component on yesterday's kill was - - -

Good evening DH, and thanks for all your info. I made a trip out of town to Mo last week to see family. I figured I better check in to let you know I still have all my short Dec, Feb, & Apr hogs. I just read an e-mail I got from an analyst--This is part of what I received. Under the weight of record large production, at the very least, we're anticipating a test of the contract lows and likely sooner rather than later. That's 560 pts below today's settlement. My new downside target in Dec hogs is going to be 38.00. I rate the odds of seeing this target as very high. Hams were very lightly tested today. If Mexican demand backs away, and production in high gear, the cutout value is headed for a train wreck!

The way hogs closed yesterday I thought they would be strong today, but I got a pleasant surprise! If my memory serves me right next week should be on the weak side, however it's a long time til Monday!

Thanks again DH,

Dewey
