up +0.29 to 48.56. That was a surprise. The "Gap" has now opened to -2.74 with the ZZZs at a discount to the component.

The six-day moving averag carcass weight dipped to 211.56# with both packer and non-packer hogs being a lighter. Packer hogs were down more than the non-packers. Packer hogs are +3.64# over non packer hogs. Index hogs are still ligher at 211,56#.

We still seem to be in a down-trend and the "trend is a friend". Trends always end and I wonder when this one will end. I'm still shore the ZZZs and GGGs but not as short as I was when he market opened this morning.

I believe my margin got a little boost today.
