producers have been lured into excessive expansion by the high prices of hogs last year coupled with some lower feed costs.
So far this week the kill is coming in +8.48% yr/yr and carcass weights are still +2.18# yr/yr.
Broiler numbers may also be heading higher. This may be enough to keep beef prices from getting REALLY our of hand. Last night I was talking to a friend and he said he now has 110 brood cows. He was pretty happy with the numbers.
