eased to 216.14. That is still +2.44# yr/yr. Non-Packer hogs were a bit heavier and packer hogs were lighter. Packer hogs continue to run a bit higher percentage of the kill than usual. This may mean that packers have expanded production a bit faster than non-packers. The data seems to continue to suggest that we have moved into the expansion phase of the "Hog Cycle". How fast expansion will occur and how high production will go remains to be seen.
