not the first time that the hog market has thrown a surprise ball at you.

Chances are it will not be the last.

The strength of the GGGs had the "Gap" closed at one point this morning but it has now re-opened to -0.56.

The noon reports are not suggesting that packers are bidding any higher for hogs today. The scheduled for delivery report shows that packers have 11.55% more hogs scheduled today than they had on this date last year. Most of the data I look at seems to suggest that producers have expanded somewhat more than the H&P Report indicated.
