I didn't see it coming either but I should have given more respect for the technical potential of possibilities. I knew the market could take cattle down hard but my logic(logic was my error) made the compelling argument that hogs would not stay in step with the cattle drop. I shamefully ignored the head and shoulders setup on the Feb chart that projected a drop to 70-71 with a weekly close below 83.30. After a drop of this magnitude the hog market will generally take half of that back but it may take 3 months of bottom basing in a 5-10 dollar range before the spring rallies find reason to take off.
