on the cattle/hog spread table. The cattle market is really disconnected------at the moment anyway. Cash cattle trading 164-165 and futures is $10 below that. The technicals are about to scream sell with all you got but we've seen this countless times to watch it come roaring back. I don't trust it simply because that's the easy thing to do with almost everyone wanting to be short the cattle, myself included. The roll over has not been triggered but it is walking on a very thin thread. I have to be patient for the usual knee jerk back to kiss the 9 week mov av that is teetering on crossing below the 20 week back up at 163.55. The crop report this week has kept my focus tied to the corn market which is also using strange surprise tactics. I've got high energy/high volatility cycles for the next 4 weeks. I have a feeling some or all of the markets will put a dent in my stock of blood pressure meds the next 4 weeks.
