at some point the cattle market would stop cooperating with the road map I favored. That's ok because I have several road maps to use but the market isn't showing any favoritism yet for any of the potential maps for either direction. At this moment we are still in a Bull Market and Bull Markets favor the expiring front month to have a final rally to retest or even break its high and the cattle market is Addicted to Double Tops or even qualifiers that come up short.

So I have made a habit of trading the expiring front month into the last couple days of expiration. I did hold one June contract into the day it expired but I had so much anxiety waiting for the surpise push higher I dumped it an hour and 15 minutes before they closed the books on June. I was so worried there would be nobody willing to buy what I was asking @ the last trade. That was a heavy weight off my shoulders and decided the next time I would exit 1 day before expiration even if I wanted more reward for my efforts. I'm trying to hold my herd of Aug cattle together as they are trying to stampede south. I'll be happy to turn them loose @ 182.00 but I would also like to have a herd of Dec sold at the 186.00-186.50 area first. It's gonna take a friendly COF report to have a chance of doing that.
