Re: Spike, the corn market----

is rather stale at the moment unless some fresh positive news shows up. I tell all my guys the corn market tendency most years for the Feb-March timeframe, plays the Sideways Sally music tilted a little lower. Then there are years like last year that was a Russian Black Swan but for some reason a lot of guys believe it has to happen again. I have some potentially very friendly cycles kicking in at the Mid May time frame, could be helped out with weather market season.

I hear you on those traders that seem to have a fascination with the back months, I just don't understand it. I have several guys that always want to argue that they need to be trading the back months. The quick and larger profits are in the volatile front months. I love the volatility but I guess if you don't know how to read the technicals, the volatility might be scary. It's too easy to fall asleep with the back months and wake up living a nightmare. Many of the guys I work with have a hard time making choices out of fear of being wrong. I always tell them get used to it, that's what Damage Control is for and you can't get better without being wrong more times than you care to be. It's gonna happen even when your In The Zone.

I'm planning on cutting back on my road trips drumming up new business and spending more time with my own trading. I do not like the sales end of the business but it became a habit in the beginning to build the client base. If I spend 2-3 days on the road, it takes me 2-3 days to get my head back In The Zone and many times that road trip comes with regrets. Feel free to send anyone my way, I love talking the markets almost as much as I love trading them. We are in some exciting and profitable times with a lot of surprises to test ones Luck.
