when our stops @ 5.49 were hit. I had a couple guys reverse to long on a few when our stops hit. My top downtrend channel line similar to yours was my long profit target @ 5.80-5.82. By the time it reached that target, it was lined up for my cycle high rotation Nov 2nd for a rally stopper in the 5.82-5.85 window to aggressively re-enter the short positions. Funny thing when a major drop is screaming look out below, most are strongly biased in the Bull Camp and want nothing to do with a short position. Only a handful of my aggressive traders were willing participants to sell again with orders @ 5.82 and 5.85. Today it has found its way back down to 5.53 with my sell signal trigger on a close below 5.54.

The 5.49 retag the upside breakout point will probably prove to be support and may not even get a kiss with a crop report on Tuesday next week. Report days can be wild with emotional big range days but that don't determine the winner until the close. The Algo traders control report days, so direction may not be determined until we see the weekly close. We are trying to decide if we want to take profits before the report comes out to protect our profits with the intentions of throwing the shorts back on after the 15 minute emotional surge higher from the 11:00 report. Guessing the correct amount of higher surge is an elusive guess. Everyone wants to know why I have such a negative bias with thinking a retest of the lower range at 5.20, 5.10, and even the 4.97-5.07 area are candidates to go on the menu. Seasonally the negative aspects are common for backfill corrections into late Nov-early Dec and my next major cycle rotation low is Nov 29th to Dec 2nd. This year Dec corn has a consistent pattern since the May 7th contract high @ 6.38 of Big Flushes of $1.38, 1.14, 1.04, 1.21, and 97 cents each time it rallied up to the top 15 cent layer of the Downtrend Channel Resistance. There is also a consistent pattern for how long it takes to complete the Flush which is a 3-4 week timeframe to complete the Flush. All of the producers I've talked to over the last 10 days are having tremendous yields and a lot more corn than they had planned on.
