Don't get in a hurry to play the June spread until you at least see a $70 spread. You are correct in your thoughts that it could go to 80 but I sure wouldn't hold my breath to get that price. The 70-75 area is what I will be focused on but I will be legging into the cattle side @ 165.00 and the hog side between 90.00-95.00 which looks to be the longer term balance support area on the hog chart. Usually the cattle hit the brick wall high before June gets hit with March washout correction. June hogs don't have to have a March washout but that is a percentage tendency. The chart patterns still have June hogs confined to the 90-100 ($10) range. I have to expect a retest of the potential correction support area between 92-95 for June hogs between now and April 15th.
