1/23/2020 was up +0.19 and the model projects the component on yesterday's kill will be up between +0.15 and +0.45. We did not get as large of a jump yesterday as the model projected, so packers may have some more expensive hogs to kill yesterday and the move up may be a bit larger than projected.

With their firm bids packers purchased 88.9% of the moving average daily purchases of total hogs and 106.3% on the Index hogs. Those are fairly normal for a Thursday.
