due to the USDA BEING late posting the morning reports. I suspect the packers are having trouble getting their reports out.

I think the trade war has been slowing down exports of pork. We saw that the Chinese were very patient in taking over Hong Kong. They just waited for the UK's lease to expire and then they moved in. They are being very patient with Taiwan just waiting to bring it back under Chinese control. I think there is a good chance they will just wait out Trump knowing he will either be gone in one-year or five-years while Xi is going to be president for life.

So the ASF problem in China remains an unknown as to how it will play out. To be sure, Chinese pork production is going to suffer. How they manage that shortage is less clear at this point.
