+0.66 and the model projects the component on Monday's kill will be up between +0.10 and +0.40.

Packers only purchased 108.8% of the moving average daily purchases yesterday and 84.1% on the INdex hogs. When packers submitted their data for the afternoon reports they seemingly thought they had purchased large numbers of hogs but when the day ended, the hogs were not there but they had sweetened their bids a bit but not as much as suggested by the afternoon reports. There may be a tinge of bullishness in the final Purchase Index but not nearly as much as suggested by the afternoon reports.
