1021/19 was a bit weak but the model projects the component on yesterday's kill will be up between +0.05 and +0.35. It appears that Packers have an inventory of more expensive hogs sufficient to keep the component up a little.

Yesterday packers purchased 89.1% of the moving daily average of total hog purchases and 96.2% on the index hogs.

Some "Big Dogs" were playing with the emotions of the shorts in the pre-opening.
