I am getting a larger & larger position in hogs as I have bought every day this week! Following is some of what I received from Dennis awhile ago -

Currently the island nation of Taiwan appears to be the last shoe to drop. ASF has never been reported here. Today I was hearing that a Taiwanese firm is looking to invest heavily in a U.S. pork packing house.

The aggressive nature of the packer, expanding kill hours and firming their bids for hogs in the middle of the fall runs is impressive stuff. Hams are tight, butts are tight, bellies firm. Retail product is just steady but this is a major victory in the face of huge production. Look for the strong cash trend to continue. Eventually look for a rally in futures that will likely shock everyone, even the bullish player. Weekly export sales and shipments will be released in the AM.
