9/4/19 was down -1.05 and the model projects the component on yesterday's kill will drop between -0.95 and -1.25. There is still a strong down trend going on in both the CME LEAN HOG INDEX and the Purchase Index.

With their lower bids packers were able to purchase 92.6% of the moving average purchases of total hogs and 106.9% on the index hogs. Producers seem to be plenty willing to sell and they have heavy hogs to sell.
