The afternoon Purchase Index for - - -

8/12/19 was down -0.41 and the model projects the component on Monday's kill will drop between -0.4 and -0.70. The QQQs settled discount to the component by -2.31. The model calculates that the component will need to drop by -0.91 per day to close the "Gap''. Since this down-trend started there has not been a single day when the component dropped that much. In fact the largest drop was -0.75 on the kill for 8/5/19. The average drop has been -0.56 over the past six-days. If the component continues to drop at that rate, the QQQs will go to cash settlement at 80.09. Like Blind Hog often said, "Yous pays yer money and takes yer chances!"

With their lower bids, packers purchases 96.3% of the daily moving average of total hogs and 96.6% on the index hogs.

Yesterday I piled four more QQQ pigs onto my boat. And maybe I shot myself in the foot.

Best wishes,

Doc
