CME Lean Hog Index Component on yesterday's kill will be late.

The U.S./China trade talks do not appear to be going well. Trump has now ordered increased tariffs on billions of dollars on Chinese imports. I have benefited from the low prices of imported Chinese products but it does not appear that we are getting a fair deal on our trade with China and the only way to get a fair deal is to be strong negotiators.

At this point in time, I think China needs our pork more than we need their products so they may still buy a lot of the pork but at a higher price.
