Yesterday I bought a handful of deferred futures -

and thought there might be a "Pop" today that would let me un-load some of them. Well, there was a "Pop" but not quite up to my orders. Today I bought a QQQ20 pig. That is the time frame when I am expecting the "Crest" to this Hog Cycle to be hit.

With the cold storage report being friendly, the cutouts up yesterday, the component on yesterday's kill being up, the kill for the week being weak, the carcass weights declining and the Purchase Index contniueing o climb, I thought the futures might exhibit so strength but it isn't happening. Long Bear had it right, "In the hog market you can always expect the unexpected!"

I am somewhat north of Phoenix in Peoria. I am so turned around here in the valley - I would never be able to find anything without the GPS!!

Best wishes,

dhm
