the March wash-out now. With there being a lot of March left, it could go a ways further I suppose. This week's kill is coming in a bit stronger than projection and the 6-day moving average carcass weight may be showing just a touch of weakness so producers may be hurrying a few hogs to market. It is not the packers who are hurrying their hogs to market but the non-packers. Packer hogs are nearly five-pounds heavier than the non-packer hogs. The next couple of months are going to be mighty interesting and maybe down-right challenging.
