Reports out of Denmark today suggest that pork prices in China will be rising by the second quarter. We believe the situation in China is far worse than what has been reported. China is a big dog. In the case of pork, they are the biggest dog! Massive liquidation of hog breeding stock has created a glut of pork. When this big dog hits the end of the chain, things will change quickly. Trouble is, how long is the chain? We remain bullish, perhaps stubbornly bullish!
