That is not said today so it may be from the government shut down.

Cutouts were weak yesterday and the dip today may be from that. And I wonder, was the high kill rate of packer-hogs an early sign that packers were liquidating in anticipation of a drop in price? Doesn't seem likely since there has not been much of d dip in the carcass weight of packer hogs.

My bias is that the dip today is mostly a technical/emotional move and not fundamentally driven.

Time will tell.
