been bemoaning the fact that packers are expanding vertically and there is some risk that the hog futures market could go the way of pork bellies, potatoes and eggs. I was not thinking packers were trying to squeeze out the independent producers of negotiated hogs. Maybe I have been wrong and that is exactly what packers are in the process of doing! I would not be happy to see that happen.
