The six-day moving average carcass weight - - -

moved up to 215.65# and this time it was the non-packer hogs that gained the most. The weight is now back up to +5.17# yr/yr.

The percentage of packer hogs killed moved above 32% again Friday after about a week of being on the low side. The kill last week was down 3.39% from the same week one-year ago. That is in line with the H&P report. The move back up in the carcass weights has me thinking that the liquidation of heavies has slowed down for now.

Now I am just waiting around to see if I can cover some short ZZZs.
