that popped up this afternoon when I should have been working other responsibilities but instead I was intrigued with some of cyclical patterns at play the last couple months and the games the market has been playing for some time. One of those games is the Game of Tag and the markets response when cash price catches and tags futures. Futures have been very good at staying one jump ahead of cash and just as it looks like cash has tagged futures-----futures reverses direction and cash misses the tag-----and once again the chase is ON but going the other direction. Cash has had a tough time pinning futures to the position of being the chaser instead of the chased.

Cash may get lucky this time-------but I have to believe the Northbound is filling up pretty fast if not full already. The volatility has kept the market pinned in a sideways range the last 7 trading days with a lot of reasons to have significant follow through higher with more reasons to go higher than reasons to sit still with sideways. I'm also trying decide how long the 3 week swing cycle will continue to leave its mark for pattern behavior. I haven't come to a convicted choice but I will jump at the clues when they appear, I should say my fishing lines will ring the Dinner Bell but I probably won't know until the day is over whether its a pair of suckers or a hit that will grow into a Big One. I've been suckered several times last week and several times I took my first two targets rather than wait around to see if they were suckers. At some point I'll have to give it more time, now that the pond parameters are more defined.
