shows that packers have 4K more hogs scheduled for the next seven-days than they had on this date last week. On a year-over-year basis they are down 37.5K which is -1.66%. That is a bit more in line with the last H&P report.
It could be that producers are getting close to the end of their liquidation of heavies but with carcasses still running +4.56# yr/yr, it would appear that they can still run a few extra hogs to market without pulling hogs forward enough to cause a short supply down the road very soon.
