right out of my mouth to describe my momentum trade-----which can turn into several layers as today proved to be but not written in stone that it has to. I never know when the momentum or failed support will turn against me by proving to be a deadly sucker if I'm not cautious. Too many times that has happened, which is why I am willing to accept slow cautious steady growth over a courageous trip to the woodshed. Too many times, courageously holding a 20-30 cent sucker that I wanted and expected a $1 deposit on, gut punches me with a $1 donation and if I'm foolishly holding 2 of those suckers-----the gut punch is gets painful.

That is why over time I have developed a set of Fishing Guide Rules that are mechanical for the most part so I can keep my greedy mind out of the equation. A continual process of tweaking that is ruled by the Prime Directive. The Oct chart was a classic setup and the Aug chart was kind of iffy which is why most of my pre opening plan gave its attention to the Oct contract and my orders for the Aug contract depended on how the day played out. I did have Aug trigger points with south lines waiting at 68.92 and 68.50 but didn't really plan on hearing the Dinner Bell.

At days end it turned out to be a very productive fishing trip, more than expected. Hauled in 7 catches for the day and am going home free of risk with an additional 2.65 growth in my account. Yes I left some on the table but that's better than having to worry about how to handle tomorrows opening that has the option to bounce a dollar right out of the gate. I don't have a reliable setup for anything until I see the first hour of trade. Not everyday is good fishing weather.
