Re: Tim, I watch the COT reports-----

but not religiously for the livestock. For the grains it's a different story because the Funds are very active in the grains. Recently, the last year or so, a light came on, regarding the subtle clues from the COT numbers. I haven't been researching(tracking) the COT numbers long enough to have a strong bias that the light shining on potential clues in those numbers are valid clues or just one of my Hallucinations. I do believe there are subtle clues that can alert you to how strong the Big Dogs bias is. However, the Big Dogs can change their minds quickly. If you are not tracking those numbers religiously, those subtle clues will go unnoticed. The COT numbers can be an aid but can also be a distraction or waste of time. I find that the little things are often more helpful than the obvious. It's the little things that help me step outside The Box of the Logical Traps.

If you are an Inside the Box thinker, the COT numbers are probably a waste of time. I need to spend more time researching the subtle clues that may prove to be meaningless. I spent close to 5 years Fine Tuning my Time & Price Cycle Rotations into a useful tool and I'm still Fine Tuning because each market has a different cycle rotation base and parameters to operate in. The thing that has caught my attention from the grain market COT reports, is what looks to be a valid, useful tool and I'm in the process of trying to determine any validity for a useful tool in the livestock. In the grain markets, there seems to be an unwritten law that the Funds take the opposite side of farmer selling. Somebody has to take the opposite side and who has the money to do that------the Funds. I've been watched this for almost 2 years and every time there is heavy farmer selling, the Funds buy very similar amounts to match commercial shorts. I've been able to use the COT reports as an aid for corn market choices and direction but it's just an aid and not the Goose laying Golden Eggs. The one problem I've encountered, is the 3 day time delay in getting those COT reports.
