8/3/17 was down -$0.16 and the model projects that the component on yesterday'skill will drop between -0.30 and -0.60. Packers still have cheap hogs bought that keep downward pressure on the Index for a couple of days.

Pacakers purchased 98.0% of the moving average daily purchases of index hogs yesterday. Producers have hogs and they are willing to sell them.
