The CME component on the kill for - - -

10/7/14 gained 0.30 to 110.61. That puts the component over the VVVs by 2.11. I think we will see some of that gap close with the VVVs tacking on a few tics.

The six-day moving average carcass weight moved up to 213,38# with both packer and non-packer hogs being heavier but more of the increase came from the packer hogs.

Packers are making good money killing hogs even though they are paying record high prices to meet their October kill needs.

The VVVs have moved up quite sharply this morning and oft times when they make a move like that, they will retrace some.

So - -

I decided to take profits on a pair of VVVs.

If they dip, I'll buy again.

HHHHMMMMmmmmm!!!!

I see they are showing some weakness.

There may be some support at 108 so I'll hang an order out to buy at 108.050.

Best wishes,
