From the afternoon reports yesterday, the model projected the component would continue its upward trend. Historically it should not be doing that. Cutouts held up quite well yesterday showing just a touch of weakness dipping by 0.57 to 103.84. That is +14.35 higher than one-year ago. Ribs rolled back which is in keeping with the passing of the holiday.

The kill this week continues to have quite a large number of packer hogs in the mix.
