5/10/17 was up $1.65 and the model projects that the component on yesterday's kill jump between +1.20 and +1.50. Packer were anxious to purchase hogs yesterday and threw plenty of money at them. Even with their higher bids, they only purchased 73.3% of the moving average daily purchases of Index hogs. Demand seems to be strong enough and supply fight enough to see the long KKKs worth riding into cash settlement. I have been looking for a dip to get long and have only piled on one. Sometimes I set my orders wrong.
