3/16/17 kill was up +0.04 to 71.76. The JJJs are now trading discount to the component by -2.39.

The six-day moving average carcass weight firmed to 212.93#. That is -0.18# year / year. Index hogs were a bit lighter at 212.09#. Packer hogs coninue to come in heavier by 4.08#. Packer hogs made up a larger than usual percentage of the hog kill yesterday.

It is a slow day for me but I will have some work to do re-balancing my bond portfolios after the bond options expire at 3:00.
