The final Purchase Index for - - -

1/10/17 was up 1.16 and the model projects that the component on yesterday's kill will move up between +0.50 and +0.80. The purchase index has gained an average of 0.98 over the last five trading days. Moves like that close a lot of "Gap". The "Gap" settled last night at 4.98. With their higher bids, packers only purchased 85.7% of the moving average daily purchases. I didn't get the change in the component posted. It was up +0.70 to 60.07. The component has gained and average of +0.87 per day for the last three-days. It will be up again today in all likelihood.

It is a bit worrisome to see the cut outs down like they were yesterday, especially the hams.

Yesterday I came into the day long six GGGs. I took profits on three and have three left. If there is a dip today, I think it will be all right to add som back.

Spreads are trading very actively for me.

Best wishes,

dhm
