GMO! GMO! byJ Welch

It is exceptionally rare for me to post any idea, suggestion or thought on Inside Futures on a Sunday, late in the afternoon. But on Friday, the CRB Index closed at a new 9 month low while the Bloomberg Commodity Index hit a 5 year low. Yes, a 5 year low. Adding insult to injury, it was annouced late yesterday, a Saturday, no less, that Chinese industrial growth in August slipped to the lowest level since the 2008 global financial crisis.

Over the years, I have come to accept the saying, "As China goes, so go commodities." Between the CRB hitting a 9 month low, the Bloomberg Index hitting a 5 year low and the slow economic growth now unfolding in China, my advice for tonight and tomorrow and likely for the rest of the is to use this phrase to your broker. Use it loud and make certain he understands what you mean. The phrase is to be used is only for those long any market anywhere. Those shorts any market should sit tight and keep their mouth shut.

The phrase I am suggeseting to be used to your broker is this: "Get me out! Get me out of all long positions in any market. GMO! GMO!

The time is 5:50 p.m Sunday night and I would not be long any market anywhere.

I have tried selling more dec this morning but so far unsuccessful, needless to say I may already have too many! Hope Doc gets his computer fixed before long, I miss his stats.
