9/26/16 was down -0.86 to 57.67. That is a far bigger drop than the model projected. Packers came up with a bunch of cheaper hogs and they were lighter weight. The six-day moving average carcass weight dipped to 209.94# with packer and non-packer hogs both dropping nearly a half-pound. Index hogs were also lighter at 208.94#. The big weekend kill may have kept producers very current in their shipments.
I took profits on the rest of my short VVVs this morning. Still have my boat nearly loaded with calendar spreads to worry over. I am ready for the J/K spread to stop its down-trend and climb a little. In 2009 just before it expired it dipped to -15.45. I hope this not another year like that.
