The CME component on the kill for - - -

9/22/16 was down 0.71 to 59.55. That was a slightly steeper drop than the model projected. The six-day moving average carcass weight moved up to 210.33#. Packer hogs were up a little more than the non-packers. They are at the same weight now. Index hogs are a bit lighter at 209.06#. That was also up a little. I think hogs are finishing a bit faster now that the weather is a bit cooler.

Still short the VVVs and now the GGGs. The weakness in the cutouts is a worry for producers as well as a high kill rate of heavy hogs.

The fact that we could have had a knee-jerk-Gap-closing day kept me spooked and I was frozen in place.

Best wishes,
