U.S. Treasury announced today that they - - -

re-open the 8/15/46 issue of bonds and sell an additional $12.0 billion on 9/15/16. They carry a coupon rate of 2.25% and traded yesterday at 100.3047 to yield 2.235%.

With bonds being firm today, that yield will probably jump above 2.25%, That is still mighty low for a 30-year commitment.
