9/7/16 was UP +0.10 TO 64.21. The VVVs are now trading discount to component by -3.11. Traders are planning on a little more weakness to the index over the next month or so and they may get it if cool weather and fresh corn causes hogs to finish a bit more quickly.

The six-day moving average carcass weight moved up to 208.13#. That is -1.30# year/Year. It appears that producers are staying current in their shipments. Index hogs are a bit lighter at 207.49#.

I shorted the VVVs early this morning and am still short. Have also scalped in and out of the VVVs several times this morning. No spread trades today but I have plenty on my boat to move out if the price is right.
