9/6/16 was UP +$0.01 which is really not much change except it might represent a change from the long down-trend we have been on. The model projects that the component on the CME Index on yesterday's kill will be in the range of +0.10 to -0.20.
Packers purchased 81.0% of the moving average daily purchases. The strength of the VVVs today suggests that Smithfield's Monmouth, Illinois plant is not going to be down very long from the fire.
I went home last night with one lone short VVV straggler still hanging on and had to dump it in a hurry this morning. This was one of the few times that I have had a directional bias that worked for me. The spreads have been quite active so far this week.
