6/30/16 was down a whooping -0.69 to 84.11. I model correctly projected it was going to be down, but not that much. With the futures also being down the premium of the index over the NNNs closed a little to -1.51.

The six-day moving average carcass weights moved up mildly to 209.45#. That is -2.00# yr/yr. I believe producers are staying very current with their shipments. Index hogs continue to be lighter at 208.40# and packers hogs are 1.64# heavier than non-packer hogs.
