fishing gear and when you see the momentum take off, you try to snag a big one as they head up stream.

My strategy is more to watch for a trend line reversal. Perhaps this means when you snag one and are ready to turn it loose, I grab it and take it in the opposite direction.

In other words, when you see the train start to leave the station, you jump on board. I wait for it to get to the end of the line and I try to jump on and head back to town. To help me decide when the train might head back to town, I study the data from the USDA, I look at historical data, I study seasonal patterns, I use some technical indicators and then I close my eyes and pull that trigger hoping you have jumped off so I can get on and ride back to town.

I believe your approach is far superior but I never was good at fishing. My Dad would get the bait ready and take me fishing and I would end up eating the bait.

Most of my trades are spread treads. They don't jerk me around quite so much although the J/K spread yanked my chain a good bit this week.

Best wishes,

dhm
