sell the heck out of June hogs so they drop to 79.30. I started legging into my annual short June cattle/long June hog spreads today with the short June cattle @ 127.30. I may have pulled the trigger too early but a week ago I thought I might have missed my chance at getting my 127 or 128 target to get my cattle short on. Today I wondering if I should have been a bit more patient. My goal is to get the spread on @ 47-48 dollar cattle premium over the hogs with a deposit target @ 32. Now I need a 2-3 dollar setback for June hogs to retest potential 79.00 support. I would like to think they would try to retest 78.00 but I will be a willing buyer to get my hog leg on @ 79.30. For now I have to carry a $3 risk on my cattle short until I get the hogs on. All the help you can give me in pushing the June hogs down, is much appreciated.
