I'm suspecting, ITZ, that the new - - -

trading hours will change the trading patterns and I think that is what the CME intended to have happen. In changing the hours, I think they were probably more interested in the traders than the hedgers although I hope the did it to help the producer-hedgers (and not the retailer-hedgers).

So far I like the new trading hours - a lot.

The low carcass weight of the index hogs and the softer kill rate we are seeing this week, together with the product seemingly holding up quite well, is not making me particularly bearish.

If the JJJs touch 68, my inclination will be to load my boat. It seems to me that quite often the "Big Dogs" will push the front month limit in the direction opposite of what the fundamentals seem to be saying. This move will then be followed by a move in the direction the fundamentals are pointing. On that basis, then, 68 becomes an interesting target and might very well be a
Buy".
