2/29/16 was up +$0.17 and the Model projects that the component on the kill for 2/29/16 will be up between +0.05 and +0.35. It looks like we are on a mild up-trend. With the kill rate being a bit weak and cutouts showing a little strength, it could last a little while.

for sometime I have been thinking that the producers of Index hogs are very current in their shipments. It is the lagging carcass weights that causes me to have those thoughts.

I sold all of my long JJJs in front of the close. Now I wish I had them back.
